城下九宫格/NINE-GIRD UNDER THE CITY WALL

基地位于文昌门东北，下马陵附近，左邻碑林博物馆。作为西安老城区改造的一部分，文昌门周边建筑的改造已经在有序进行。在进行改造前，场地周边的建筑大多以一至二层的楼房为主，现场较为杂乱，两条分割基地与周边建筑的巷子相当狭窄，甚至难以同时通过两辆自行车。 场地周边市井气息较为浓厚，居民多以老年人为主。 基地与城墙之间相隔一条顺城巷，这为建筑与城墙之间的对话创造了条件。作为老城区的一部分，基地周边具备下马陵、碑林博物馆和城墙等文脉，这与国医馆设计的国学环境不谋而合。

The base is located in the northeast of Wenchang gate, near Xiamaling, and adjacent to the stele forest museum on the left. As part of the reconstruction of the old urban area of Xi’an, the reconstruction of the buildings around Wenchang gate has been carried out in an orderly manner. Before the reconstruction, most of the buildings around the site are buildings with one to two floors, and the site is relatively messy. The alleys between the two divided bases and the surrounding buildings are quite narrow, and it is even difficult to pass through two bicycles at the same time. There is a strong atmosphere of markets around the site, and most of the residents are the elderly. There is a Shuncheng Lane between the base and the city wall, which creates conditions for the dialogue between the building and the city wall. As a part of the old urban area, the base is surrounded by Xiamaling, stele forest museum and city walls, which coincides with the traditional Chinese culture environment designed by the National Medical Museum.
